Starkey Omega AI Expert Review
Our lab tested the Starkey Omega AI 24 RIC using standardized measurements on an acoustic manikin. Below you will find our verdict, performance scores, amplification data, and audio recordings from independent testing.

Quality data starts with quality recordings. HearAdvisor worked with GRAS to build a no-compromise front end so every test is repeatable and reliable.

Lab Assessment
How the Starkey Omega AI Performed in Independent Testing
Our verdict summarizes what the Starkey Omega AI achieved across five measured performance areas. The card below presents the overall grade, category ranking, and key findings from our acoustic manikin testing.

The Starkey Omega AI delivers strong overall sound quality with above-average speech clarity, best suited for users seeking premium prescription performance.

Starkey Omega AI Scores Across Five Lab Metrics
Our testing protocol measures speech in quiet, speech in noise, own-voice naturalness, feedback control, and music streaming quality. The card below displays how the Starkey Omega AI scored on each metric using a five-point scale.
How clearly speech comes through in calm, one-on-one surroundings.
Speech understanding against loud background noise — the toughest everyday test.
How natural your own voice sounds while wearing the aids, without a boomy, plugged-up quality.
Sound quality of music streamed to the hearing aids over Bluetooth.
Resistance to the whistling and squealing caused by acoustic feedback.
Scores use HearAdvisor’s public scoring scale and are based on measurements from our acoustic test chamber.
Fit Conditions
Starkey Omega AI Test Results by Fitting Stage
We measured the Starkey Omega AI in both Initial and Tuned configurations to capture performance at different fitting stages. Toggle between conditions below to see how each fit performed against target amplification.
In initial fit testing with a closed vented dome and medium-power receiver using Starkey's e-STAT 2.0 fitting formula, the Omega AI achieved a normalized Initial Score of 4.5/5. Speech in quiet measured 3.6/5 while speech in noise scored 2.7/5. Feedback handling was excellent at 5.0/5, indicating strong stability out of the box. Own-voice comfort scored 2.7/5 and music streaming quality measured 3.2/5. The initial configuration provides solid overall performance with minimal professional adjustment required.
What is HearAdvisor's Initial Fit?
The Initial Fit approximates the most likely settings and eartips for a typical moderate hearing loss. Results are measured across the same 72 acoustic scenes in our custom-built lab, then scored on a 5-star scale using an auditory model.
Amplification Data
Starkey Omega AI Insertion Gain and Target Matching
Insertion gain shows how much amplification the hearing aid provides at each frequency compared to an unaided ear. The graph below plots the Starkey Omega AI's measured output against prescriptive targets for the test audiogram.
